3D cell culture models, including spheroids and organoids, are becoming increasingly important in biomedical research because they more closely reflect physiological conditions than traditional two dimensional cultures. However, their increased complexity also brings new challenges for reliable monitoring, analysis and data interpretation.
This seminar will provide an overview of the fundamental principles of 3D cell culture and introduce a range of tools and approaches for studying cell viability, cytotoxicity, apoptosis, metabolism, gene expression and genomic changes in complex 3D models.
The seminar will also explore the latest imaging technologies for 3D cultures and introduce detection platforms and analytical solutions designed to simplify data acquisition, analysis and interpretation.
