Seminar Topic

This seminar will present Promega’s comprehensive portfolio of cell-based assays designed to examine cellular metabolism, viability, and functional responses with high sensitivity and reproducibility. Emphasis will be placed on real-life application strategies, such as monitoring metabolic alterations in cancer cells compared to normal cells, highlighting how real-time metabolic profiling can reveal functional phenotypes and treatment responses.

We will further explore applications in advanced in vitro models, including the analysis of 3D cell cultures that more closely recapitulate in vivo tissue architecture. In addition, approaches for assessing immune responses through cytokine detection assays will be discussed, enabling detailed characterization of inflammatory signaling and cell-to-cell communication.

The seminar will also introduce the Axion BioSystems portfolio for multiparametric cellular analysis. This includes quantitative assessment of cell proliferation and migration (e.g., confluence and scratch assays), as well as real-time, label-free monitoring of cellular electroactivity. Together, these complementary technologies provide integrated and physiologically relevant platforms for comprehensive cell health characterization.

Who Should Attend?

The seminar is open to all interested participants, regardless of their field or age, and is also suitable for university students. Due to capacity and organizational reasons, registration is required. The entire seminar will be conducted in English.
