Seminar Topic

At the beginning of the seminar, we will focus on the principle of luminescence, its advantages over fluorescence and absorbance, and demonstrate why it is becoming increasingly popular. We will introduce luciferase reporters and their applications in studying gene expression, signaling pathways, and protein–protein interactions – including dual-reporter systems and detection in live cells.

We will then take a closer look at NanoLuc® technologies (NanoBiT®, NanoBRET™, HiBiT®, Lumit™) and their specific applications – from interaction analysis and inhibitor screening to serving as an alternative to ELISA-based methods.

In the final part, we will demonstrate how to efficiently deliver reporter vectors into cells and how to reliably detect luminescence using modern plate readers or microscopy systems.

Who Should Attend?

The seminar is open to all interested participants, regardless of their field or age, and is also suitable for university students. Due to capacity and organizational reasons, registration is required. The entire seminar will be conducted in English.
